3rd Grade Teacher!

 I am an official 3rd grade teacher. My position was approved by school board and class begins Aug 10! Beyond excited! I will post photos of the classroom once I have it ready.

My wait may be over!

Well readers....my wait to have my own classroom may be over!!!! Thank God!!!! I had an interview on 7/11/2016 with a school that is an hour from where I currently live. I was told that they were looking for a teacher that was strong in science and math for 4th grade, BUT they were waiting on confirmation of Federal Funding for this unit and a Fifth grade unit. I was told that I may know as early as next week or as late as after school starts 8/10/2016 (I think). needless to say I am EXCITED and praying that my expectations are not shattered by the funding falling through. I'll update as soon as I can.

Since my last posting I have worked at a Cracker Barrel as a cashier and retail person. From Cracker Barrel I went to Cabela's which was fun because I was involved in set up a new store. After Cabela's, I was asked to fill in for 6 weeks at a middle school teaching 146 6th graders science. Talk about perfect fit, I LOVED it!!! When it was time for the actual teacher to come back the students were like "We want our teacher back but we want to keep you too!!", what a great feeling to know that you made such an impact! The returning teaching told me at the end of school she took a poll and the students said the project that I assigned while I was there was the best part of the course. In May of this year I accepted a position at Kohl's on the freight team, I am having fun in this position. I still substituted while I held the positions at Cracker Barrel, Cabela's, and Kohl's.

Had three interviews the week of 09/29/2014. As of 10/06/2014, I haven't heard from none of them.

Yes!!! I have a preliminary interview on June 3 & 5. Hoping I have a classroom this fall! Can't wait to inspire a new generation of learners to become the best students and citizens they can be!!!
